High Growth Deep Roots

How awesome it would be to witness a seed’s beginning. Whether one is planted by hands or it naturally happens on its own, it would still require two growths–one up and one down. It would seem to me that this small seed sends a shoot down so it may be rooted and grounded, while at the same time it sends a shoot up to be the plant it was intended to be. Likewise it must be with us. Without strong roots we soon would wither. Much fails in our lives because of lack of growth in us. A healthy, strong, and stable plant bears good healthy fruit. The higher you grow in your calling the deeper must be your roots. Stay healthy inside and out. Don’t just feed your face, feed your faith as well.

AWAKEN and ARISE!

Awaken (v.) to awake, to rouse up, put into action. Wow! I see that AWAKEN and RISE UP are so together. Okay, this year we cannot be sleeping on the job. We have purpose and destiny before us. We are to be ‘ready’, ‘lively’, and heedful (careful, pay attention, and to concern oneself and take notice with what’s going on around us). Read more »

Before You lived One Day

Oh yes, You shaped me first inside, then out. You formed me in my mother’s womb. I thank you, High God–You’re breathtaking! Body and soul, I am marvelously made! I worship in adoration–what a creation! You know me inside and out. You know every bone in my body. You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was Read more »

God’s Best Gift

Children are God’s best gift, the fruit of the womb, His generous legacy. Like a warrior’s fistful of arrows are the children of a vigorous youth. Oh how blessed are you parents! Your enemies don’t stand a chance against you, you’ll sweep them right off your doorstep. Psalm 127:3,4 msg.

Dear Child of God,

When you, my child, are confused, not knowing which way to go, remember that you can trust me. Go ahead and hide beneath the shadow of my wings until the storm passes. When you cry to me, I will do wonders for you. I have a plan for your life, for today, for tomorrow and for all the days you are on earth. Put your trust in Me and I will direct your footsteps as your planned-out life comes to pass. I will complete them. They are good plans, plans to prosper you. Read My Word: Ps. 57:1-2

I Had A Dream

“I had a dream.” How many of us have heard this? Well, like it or not, dreams come to everyone and a lot of them mean something. Sometimes we remember them, other times we don’t want to remember them for what ever reasons. Some are remembered in detail and others are remembered in bits and pieces. I find that the dreams that mean something to me are the ones that stay with me. Maybe throughout the day I think on it, or it just keeps popping up at different times. If it is in my mind and heart more than once, I want to know why. Some are meant to share and others are meant to be kept to self and at this stage of life I can pretty much tell the difference. The following is one of those bits-and-pieces-type of dream: Read more »

Giants or Heroes?

We all know that Super Heroes have some kind of power, right? And we also know that not all giants have any sort of power at all, they’re just BIG!  But what if we had a choice between being a giant or a super hero. Which would you choose? How about giant super heroes!!!

Almost everybody is familiar with the story of ‘David and the Giant’, and by his description of height, we agree that Goliath was most certainly BIG. Well, with no disrespect, when I think of that story I can’t help but to think of the ‘Wizard of Oz’. Read more »

Lost And Found

Have you ever been lost? Maybe on the road, in a mall, or just lost? Now a days we have access to any kind of map system on the internet or our modern phone (I say ‘modern’ because not all phones are smart). In the case of needing to find where you’re going or not going, you can pull up a map. The mall has its own maps as well. The maps are placed in the center of where we get lost. So what is the first thing you see when you look on the Google map? YOU ARE HERE. It’s the same at the mall. Well, you’re really not lost, someone knows where you are, right? If you don’t know where you are then you won’t know how to get to where you are going. Even when you call someone for directions they will most likely ask you, “Where are you?”

With this concept in your mind, when you feel lost, God knows where you are. He will come looking for you. Read more »

Near? or Far?

“Seek the Lord while you can find Him. Call upon Him now while He is near” (Is. 55:6).  This year God is doing a new thing, is doing. This means that God is at work ‘doing’ new things. He asks if we do not see it or perceive it. If we cannot see it, are we calling upon the Lord? Are we letting His Holy Spirit guide us to that new thing He is doing? Isaiah encourages us to call upon the Lord while he is near. What does that mean? Will He not be near us all the time? His Word also says that He will never leave us, so why is Isaiah saying for us to call on the Lord now while he is near? Read more »

Our Sins?

Who would have thought God’s saving power would look like this? (Is. 53:1 Msg.).

How powerful are our sins to do this to our Lord and Savior? Actually the Bible says, “They shall see my Servant (Jesus), beaten and bloodied, so disfigured one would scarcely know it was a person standing there” (Is. 52:15). Read more »
